Beautiful read. It is amazing how when we sit with the land and are with it enough to find anomalies such as that cut, how strange the stories can be of their existance. Also shocking and terrifying how quickly we can change the landscape. Not to say mother nature hasn't been more accomplished in the ability to quickly transform landscapes; however, it is a power with such an irreversibility that it is much more daunting in our hands.
